Ubu Communex is now available as an RSS news feed. As well as news the service will announce significant additions or updates to the sprawling tangle that is the Ubu Projex web site. The Modern Dance at The Beachland Ballroom In celebration of the Beachland Ballroom's 10th Anniversary Pere Ubu will perform The Modern Dance in its entirety March 5 in Cleveland. See the Calendar Page. Robert Wheeler Makes it To The Grammies Robert Wheeler appeared on The Grammies accepting the Technical Grammy Award for Thomas Alva Edison. Pictures can be found on Robert's Facebook page. In The Court Of The Rhythm King February's release from hearpen.com is a great live recording by Pere Ubu from Eindhoven, Holland, in 1988. Next Album Work has begun on the next Pere Ubu album. Working title: Lady From Shanghai. We are considering posting work-in-progress song demos at hearpen.com on a reasonable subscription basis. Final decision yet to be made. Pere Ubu UK Dates Confirmed Pere Ubu will do a week of dates in the UK at the end of February. Five dates are confirmed: Glasgow, London, Blackheath, Bath and Leamington Spa. See the Calendar Page. The Garage, London, is a new program called "Pere Ubu: The First & The Last" which will consist of two sets - The Modern Dance in its entirety and the songs from "Long Live Père Ubu!" as a concert set. The other four shows will be "Long Live Père Ubu!" - The Spectacle. Rocket From The Tombs Coming soon a new single, "I Sell Soul" b/w "Romeo & Juliet." Ubu Dance Party Update Charlie Dontsurf has updated the documents section of the only complete Ubu reference site out there, www.ubudance.com. The Radio Play The entirety of "Bring Me The Head Of Ubu Roi - The Radio Play" is now available at hearpen.com for download. Robert appointed Grocery Police Officer Recently there has been a change of policy as regards YouTube. This is due to the appointment of Robert Wheeler as Grocery Police Officer, now in charge of internet activities. He advocates a more liberal approach to uploading videos of the band, though he will continue to censor and instruct the removal of not-approved uploads. David remains opposed but acknowledges Robert's authority in this matter. For related matters email Robert. "Long Live Père Ubu!" - The Spectacle comes to Reims The "Long Live Père Ubu!" performance comes to Reims (F) on Dec. 16th. London Texas Chris Cutler's RERMegacorp label has released a live Pere Ubu cd of tracks selected from the hearpen.com download audio releases Waltz Across Texas and Waltz By The Sea.
